They are as followsInternal engineering assessmentField value-in-use assessment indirect survey questionsFocus group value assessment.Direct survey questionsConjoint analysisBenchmarksCompositional go upImportance ratingsCustomer Lifetime ValueAccording to Phillip, Mark Robert (2004), Customer Lifetime Value is the familiarise value of the future cash in flows attributed to customer relationship. Therefore, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), also known as Lifetime Customer Value (LCV) or Lifetime Value (LTV) is the net present value of the cash flows recognized from the relationship with a customer. This is a parameter to determine exactly how much a customer is worth in monetary terms and therefore exactly how much a marketing discussion section should be willing to spend to acquire each customer.According to Jason, Ashutosh and Roberto (2010), CLV makes it possible to explicitly connector long-term financial returns to marketing actions. They think that CLV has been gaining significance for two reasons First, many traditional marketing metrics are not sufficient to evaluate return on marketing investments. Second, customers are not equally profitable. So, it is necessary to understand cus tomer value at individual level which can be done with the help of CVL. CLV is typically used to calculate the cost of acquisition of a customer. For example, if a new customer costs 50000 TK to acquire and his or her lifetime value is 60000 TK, then the customer is considered to be profitable.FINDINGS1.Customer value helps to develop manage customer relationship 2.Customer expectation and customer satisfaction are nearly related with customer value 3.There are some principles of strategic positioning which can be use in doing things differently from the competitors and transferring different values to the customers 4.Success in business depends on selection of the target customers for value positioning. 5.The practice of a strong management system is needed for achieving customer value.6.Developing a culture based on customer value is necessary to achieve the strategic objectives of a company. 7.A highly integrated value system effective performance measuring system is important for the implementation of customer value strategy. 8.Network marketing system helps to understand customers needs in a better way 9.Some hypotheses established by various scholars are helpful for delivering superior customer value. 10. Use of Psychoanalysis to Treat Psychological Disorders Essay Example for Free

Use of Psychoanalysis to march Psychological Disorders EssayDiscuss the use of psychoanalysis to treat psychological disorders The aim of psychoanalytic therapy is to scupper the repressed material to help the client come to an understanding of the origins of their problems. There are several techniques forthcoming to the therapist poverty-stricken association, Dream analysis and projective tests.Free AssociationWithin free association the client is encouraged to express anything that comes into their mind. Each incident may then, done free association of ideas, lead to former(a) thoughts and memories that perhaps extend into childhood. The federal agency of the therapist is to intervene occasionally perhaps to encourage reflection into a crabby experience. During free association the therapist will be identifying key ideas and themes that can be analysed. Freud introduced free association to try and get round the defence put up by the ego and so brings material from the unconscious mind.Dream AnalysisFreud referred to dreams as the royal road to the unconscious. He felt that during dreams the normal barriers to the unconscious material were lifted and the symbolic imagery of dreams was a reflection of this unconscious material. Therefore by analysing the capacity of the dreams the therapist might be able to identify significant conflicts repressed into the unconscious. The therapists role is to use their understanding of how the dream work operates to interpret the symbolism of the dream. Putting together the themes that emerge through the process are put together. The client can then work through these problems with the therapist identifying and solving their issues.Projective testsAlthough this is not part of Freuds original therapeutic techniques projective tests are used in a manikin of psychodynamic approaches. In these tests the client is required to project or impose their own thoughts and associations on a particular stimulus material.E valuation* These therapies accept that adult disorders may have their roots in childhood and in repressed material * Psychodynamic therapy can be very long lasting and therefore expensive * The therapies see upon the clients developing insights into their condition therefore it might not be suitable for those who are not unstrained to analyse their lives in this way * Psychodynamic therapies are not suitable for all disorders * There are honorable issues in confronting clients with distressing material during the course of the analysis. It is important that such issues are worked through with the client to a satisfactory conclusion.

Use of Measurement Essay Example for Free

Use of Measurement EssayA footfallment is a way of obtaining info that ar used in researches and data analysis. Measurement is regarded to be an image most of the time. The reason tardily the idea is that precision in bar a certain endeavor during a time breakup is not as good as the measurement taken after the said time musical interval or for another time interval. Researchers, experimenters and even nonprofessional persons all have the same goal to perform good estimates of the object they are measuring (Hoult, 2009). In natural philosophy, unmatchable does not only measure an object as it is.The person measuring the object needs to put in his mind the pay social unit of measure should he or she use. An example is a bucket. A bucket has different attributes that backside be heedful. Some of these attribute are the weight, cumulation, volume, area ( come out of the closet area), compactness, length, etc. This attributes can be measured but at that place are m any units of measure involve in each of the attributes. Standard units of measure are certain so that the confusion between what unit of measure to be used is resolved (Jones, 1998). The following are the standard unit of measure for a certain attribute Weight Kilograms Mass Kilograms Volume Liters playing area square meters Length meters As said above, measurement is a way of obtaining data. One cannot obtain the right data without the right tool to be used. As with measurement, a right measurement instrument must be used in order to get the right data and in order to estimate with precision and accuracy the object that you want to measure. The following attributes that are stated can be measured with the use of the right measuring instrument. For clarification, weight is not the same as mass. Weight is the amount of mass that is present when it is suspended in a start scale when acted upon by the earths gravity. On the other hand, mass is the amount of matter present in an object. Weight is measured with the use of spring scale or a weighing scale. The esteem of the weight in the earth can be the same as the value of the mass. But once the force acting on the object changes the value of the weight willing change and the mass will stay the same. Generally, masses alike(p) mass of a person can be obtained by the use of the same instrument used in measuring weight in earth. Volume can be measured by the use of approximately cognise instruments like measuring cup for liquid, pipette for liquid, graduated cylinder (for liquid and solid) and pneumatic trough for gases. region is measured by the use of a planimeter. Length is usually measured by the use of instruments like ruler, tape measure, meter stick, yard stick etc (Fuchs, 1996). The attributes being measured is deeply related to the unit of measure being used. First, the attributes maybe too large or too small for unit of measure, in that exercise there are other units of measure apportionn. Th e hierarchies of units are given in a unit system. there are two unit systems that are popular today. The SI system and the English system give a complete list of all the unit of measures according to the quantity (Abbot, 2003).Some of the attributes of the bucket can only be obtained by the use of measuring devices. Other attributes, however, can be obtained with the use of some formulas. For example Volume and area can be obtained by formulas like V = 1/2? r2h, and A = 2? rh + ? r2. The formula for the volume is obtained by the use of the formula for the volume of a cylinder. Bucket is usually cylindrical in shape. The formula for the area is obtained by using the formula of the surface area of an open cylinder. Other formulas can be obtained for the attributes of the bucket. Another example is the density of the bucket. In general, the density is equal to the mass divided by the volume of the bucket. Since mass can be obtained with the use of a measuring device and volume can be obtained with the use of the given formula then one can solve for the density of the bucket with the general formula (Manura, 2005). Another concept that should be discussed is similarity and estimation. As said earlier, measurements are always an estimate. Approximation and estimation are very important concepts regarding measurements because they will be the basis of the accuracy and precision of a measurement. One does not get accurate and nice results all the time with the use of measuring devices. There might be errors that can come up from time to time. To properly record results obtained using measuring devices, one must take note of the errors in measurements and put it in the resulting measure to obtain a more precise and accurate result. Results should be pen in the form result + uncertainty. For example, if a buckets height according to a 9 different rulers is 20 centimeters. And another reading from a different ruler is 20. 3 centimeters. Then the resulting measurement should be 20 0. 3 centimeters (Hoult, 2009).ReferencesAbbot, D. (2003). As students, they still want to keep in touch with their alma mater. It is really uncontrollable for the school to search for their graduates for they are scattered to the different parts of the world. That is why we have what we call alumni association. Alumni standstill was founded to promote fellowship among graduates, former students, faculty and staff members of Felkris Academy for its development and well being as an educational institution. So bring in of the graduates is all-important(a). track squeeze out pr ovide concrete evidence that will enable the boards and the wider public to evaluate a schools most important yieldits graduatesin important ways. For easy access to the graduates of the school, the researchers are to study a web-based tracking system for Felkris Academy. It is web-based so that it is easy for the graduates and the school to have communication with each other anytime and eachwhere in the world. Every graduate chamberpot still be updated to what is happening to their school, how far did the developments have undergone after they left field the school, the academic status and many more by accessing the system through the web.The reasons for maintaining contact with alumni include networking for veritable students to obtain internships and superior positions, meeting requirements for accrediting agencies, and determining how well the program prepared the graduates for their professional careers. In tack together to strengthen graduates ability to move theory into practice, graduate programs need to stay current on professional practices. Alumni Track ing System helps to do what is mention above. According to Quimbita, Grace,1989-09-00 from ERIC Clearinghouse for Junior Colleges Los Angeles CA. Student tracking systems enable increasing poesy of community colleges to respond to external demands for accountability with tangible measurements of student progress and institutional outcomes.Several modern trends have prompted interest in monitoring student progress throughout college and into their professional lives. Bers (1989) argues that increasing focus on marketing, accountability, communication with students, and internal competition for students all serve as catalysts for the development of tracking systems. Bers identifies half dozen stages in the student flow process that should be monitored by a student tracking system. AwarenessIn this stage, the likely student learns about the college for the first time.Mass mailings to homes or businesses, advertisements in the media, and public information sessions are reclaimable in making potential students aware of the college. InquiryMechanisms for maintaining personalized contact with prospective students should go into effect as soon as the individual makes the first inquiry about the college. The individuals name, social security number, and program interests should directly be on record. EntryThis stage involves formal application, admission, first-time registration and enrollment, and increasingly, assessment tests, orientations, and advisement.ExperienceMost tracking efforts currently concentrate on this stage, gathering information on students as they take courses, fulfill prerequisites, pass, fail, or withdraw from courses, take favor of support services, and work toward their goals. CompletionAt this stage, students leave the college with or without achieving their educational goals. Follow-UpBecause community college students commonly stop in and out, alumni can also be considered an important pool of prospective students.Maintaining contact with alumni after they have left the college is important in evaluating educational outcomes in terms of employment or transfer experiences, and attracting former students back to the college. Tracking systems can be developed for practically any stage in the student flow process. Cochise College in Arizona has a tracking system within its admissions office that monitors the awareness, inquiry and entry stages (Barrett, 1989).The Los Angeles Community College order in California and Arapahoe Community College in Colorado each have tracking systems which focus on basic skills assessment and monitor the entry, experience, and completion stages (Voorhees and Hart, 1989). Additionally, tracking designs are possible for underprepared students (Smittle, LaVallee, and Carman, 1989) and other special groups, much(prenominal) as displaced homemakers, single parents, learning disabled, and hearing impaired (Gay and Boukouvalas, 1989). Discuss One environmental paradox facing cities and strategy virtually solutions EssayDiscuss One environmental problem facing cities and outline some solutions The issue of a severe problem called material flub material in Manila and capital of Red China is becoming a matter of concern. Causes of numerous eat aroused widespread attention. Therefore, the solution to reduce babys room gas emission from solid ache management tidy sum be regional and international (Ooi, 2009, p.189). It seems that waste has become an important part of the environmental problem in cities.Waste squeeze out be change integrity into two distinct parts, hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste, and the non-hazardous waste is consisted of municipal solid waste, industrial waste and some other types (United States environmental Protection Agency, 2012). Be stimulate of the large amount of waste, organization require to spend more homophile and financial resources. Most of human behaviour could cause the growth of solid waste. Materials which be thrown away by citizens, such as the product bottles, food scraps, newspapers and batteries are the broadcast causes of solid waste. Consequently, effective methods need to be implemented. The most direct method is to decrease the amount of waste. To bring to pass the tenet of waste prevention, the society should focus on the recycling and collecting, which means to withdraw useful and natural materials, then turn these items into new produc ts. This method could reduce the needs of raw materials. In addition, waste can be used as a resource and it will be economical use (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2012).Manufacturing and industrial procedure are the most direct cause of industrial waste. Stone tools and sickles are difficult to be seen in current- daytime, because in factories, up-to-the minute production lines that seduce numbers of waste per day are used as a substitute for wood and stone. To show an example, by 1990 the amount of industrial waste has raisedup to 265 million tons, which is a shocking figure to the public (Waste Industries, 2013). Hence, the city government should provide a convenient environment for factory managers and convince them that they should undertake the environmental responsibility. Meanwhile, managers should comply with the principle of recycling industrial waste. Therefore, waste management issues in cities should be people-oriented (United States Environmental Protec tion Agency, 2012). Hugo (2012) stated around industrial waste management services companies even emphasize on understanding clients industrial processes that produce waste and then supplying the tools for deterring accurate chemic and physical properties. In addition, hazardous waste is modify in both human health and the city environment. Solvents, electroplating wastes, heavy metals, and acids, which all produced by laboratory and chemical plant in cities cause substantial accumulation of hazardous waste. In agriculture, citizens non-standard behavior of using pesticides can lead to the generation of hazardous waste. Moreover, non-standard behavior in city life can also cause the creation of hazardous waste, such as batteries and some items containing heavy metal thrown away by citizens (Harris et al, n.d.).Thus, cities should take some actions to reduce producing hazardous waste. In industries, numbers of methods need to be done. For instance, melt materials like batteries c an be recycled. To recover resource and lean production, Harris (n.d.) claimed Zinc can be gathered from smelting furnaces. utilize oil, hydraulic fluids, refrigerator compressors and more can be taken from cars and fridges. Citizens should pay attention to establishing especial arrangement facilities in cities. Considering the problem of land, the city government needs to find a suitable place in the city where could offer special disposal of toxic waste (Harris et al, n.d.).In recent years, the number of waste becomes a growing tendency, which is a common phenomenon, has aroused wide concern in cities. The causes of waste are the spawning of Municipal Solid Waste, industrial activities and citizens and industries non-standard behavior. What is more, to decrease the amount of waste, citizens should standardize their behavior and use waste as a resource, and managers should release their environmental responsibility so that factories could reduce the discharge of industrialwaste. Government needs to establish especial collection facilities in cities and find a suitable place for toxic waste. In conclusion, the whole society should pay close attention to the problem of recycling and reducing. Citizens of the future may be more environmentally conscious than people in the current society.

It made it mandatory for each community to give benefit in the form of less waken for the deprived class. This law was later renamed into humans assistant which was the result of Local Government travel, 1929. Subsequently, the facilities were open for everyone disregarding of harm and were applicable for people who did not make up the money to pay for wellness care. (Pat Thane, 2009) The Disabled somebodys Employment bite, 1944 made it mandatory for the companies to give jobs to people included in Disabled Persons archives which should be minimum three percent of their employment. (Barnes, 1991) The National Association for Mental Health was later established in 1946 which had a movement for improved facility for the mentally disabled patients.National Health suffice and the National Assistance BoardThe Poor law was terminated with the introduction of the National Assistance (NA) Act in 1946 which came into practice two years later. National Assistance Board (NAB) came into existen ce with the advent of this special(a) act. National Health Service took the hospitals under them which also came into being in the same year as NAB. NAB was later substituted by the Supplementary emoluments which merged with the Department of Health and Social Security in the year 1968. (Burt et al., 2003) After the Second World WarThe Mental Health Act came into being in 1959 that targeted to give the mentally disabled people a space in the society. It was the contribution of The National Assistance Act 1948, amended in 1962 that gave incentive to the native political science to facilitate the superior citizen and people with disability with food, pastime facilities and to chalk away a decade long plan to enable them to stay in their respective residents for a period according to their will. (Pat Thane, 2009) In1968, Health run and Public Health Act took the function to the senior citizens the and the people with disability to another level by turning extensive services man age washing, stewards, recreation and attend to in their home. (Bauld et al., 2005)In order to facilitate a social service discussion section in every community, the Local Authority Social Services Act came into being in 1970. This was aimed at establishing a system where there is a collaborative and wide ranging arrangement for the replete(p) social care system that will address the issues of people and give assistance to them who are in need of them. This partitioning was given the duty of domestic aid, housing, food and entertainment facilities. The native authorities were made bound to make out a catalogue of the incapacitated people and the services were to be exposed to the common mass. Invalidity Benefit came into existence in 1971which was later modified three years later which had the provision for Invalid superintend Allowance In order to provide assistance to the people who wants to take the service of the topical anaesthetic supplier or a provider of their own cho ice of wellnesscare instead of the hospitals, District Health regime were given the authority in 1983 to give more finance to those people. In order to take care of the issue of make advancements in the service of the senior citizens and the people with disability, a series of papers intercommunicate these issues to facilitate an improved service to the public. (Pat Thane, 2009)In an attempt to give more effort to the service to the people with disability, Disabled Persons Representation Act, 1986 was introduced so that they are taken into consideration more than before during the policy formulation. It gave the local bodies the duty to evaluate the requirement of the people with disability in terms of the social service and take care of these needs and let them know or so the offers and facilities the local bodies are going to provide. (Daunt, 1992) In 1996, the familiarity Care Act was implemented to facilitate the people in need of social service with the und so that they ca n pay for the services. at that place are several another acts that were introduced to enhance the social care to the UK people they are the following Carers (Recognition and Services) Act, 1995Mental Health (Patients in the Community) Act, 1995Disability Discrimination Act, 1995Carers and Disabled Children Act 2000 circumscribed Educational Needs and Disability Act, 200Private Hire Vehicle Act, 2002Disability Discrimination Act (amended) 2005Disability Equality Duty (DED), 2006Welfare Reform Act 20071.2 factors influencing the festering of policy legislationsThe provisions regarding wellnesscare and welfare are mainly designed to provide the people with the economic assurance in shimmy of any illness, disease, aging or lack of financial crisis due to the lack of a job. There are several types of allowance which is provided when a soulfulness is ill or out of job which are okay up by the insurance arrangements of the state. In the period after Second World War the state was m ore e focused on giving jobs to everyone. It was supported by the free education system and academic allowances. The prime attention of that period was basically the fund to the domestic arena, health care all around the country and obviously jobs to everyone. The employers and the political science word collaboratively in this regard.task 2 origins of social policies2.1 PROCESS in key Health and Social Policy legalizationThe act is often preceded by a bill. The health related bills are presented in front of the parliament. Health and social policies are basically the activities and steps taken by the state to achieve a certain result in the national health scenario. The entire arrangement and structure of the health sector is deeply exploitd by the act and legislation. These procure of formulating the policies may variegate in nature. The place for the policy formulation and structure along with the attributes of the strategy has implication in the development of these acts. T he whole procedure of policy formulation and implementation needs to be apprehended properly so that itbecome convenient to make use of the resources and bring significant modifications in the healthcare provisions. These processes wipe out bod of stages. It starts with the design of the policy. In tis frost stage, draw plays of insights and information regarding the need of the service receivers are received. It takes into consideration the goal and the expected results are determined and according to them the appropriate steps are taken to make certain(a) the required inputs are arranged. Secondly, the designed policy is practically applied by speeding the policy. It takes active measures to track down the policy. The final stage includes assessment and adjustment where the policies are scrutinized and modified according to the need of the situation.2.2 INFLUENTIAL factors behind a parliamentary actHealth and social welfare related issues are soundly influence by the people themselves. But the policy and parliamentary act are also affected by the assessment and the understanding and decision of the people concerned with the policy formation. There is also the consideration of the demarcation of resources. In addition, the thinking process and the principals have a billet to play. These policy makers have their own set(p) of view and philosophies that are influenced by their allegiance to their respective parties (Ungerson, 1997). There are various modes of accomplishing the policies which can be customary or contemporary. There is also pressure from the activists and communities. Unexpected situations and likelihoods of events also play a role in the policy making process in the health care and social policy which may result in a very unscrupulous decisions and polices. (Spanswick, 2003)2.3 the impact of the Act on service usersThe health and social care acts have positive effect throughout the UK history. These acts have answered to give people op ening to their fundamental right of health care, specially the older generation and the disabled people. (Foster et al., 2001) It has given the UK healthcare and welfare a solid structure. Health acre and social care had been two isolated entities, courtesy of the acts. But tis tumult created a problem of lack of coordination. This disintegration was through in terms of the strategies and control of the bodies but they have been integrated to better serve the people.2.4 POLITICAL leaders contriburion on policiesPolitical leaders have snappy contribution in helping the country recover from the adversities and downturn in the economy that resulted from the havoc of the Second World War. They help made the legislations to bring major changes in the social policies that had a foundation that predates the war. These politicians help pass the Health Act 2009 that aimed to take the National health Service to an advanced level to provide better facilities and service to the common mass.. I n 2008 they passed Health and Social Care Act that had a bouncy contribution in revolutionizing and incorporating health and social care. The 2006 Health Act came up with the regulation that prevented public bullet and set the age restriction for smokers that was applicable to the seller of tobacco products. It also took care of the management of the medicine and observation of trans accomplishs with pharmaceutical goods. (Hochschild, 1995)2.5 improving the CARE WITH the on-going policy changesThe policies that are concerned with the peoples welfare are always vulnerable to adjustments and amendments. Any vital change requires a lot retardation and it has the risk of producing debate. The Medicare Program, introduced in 1965, has seen much modification since its inception which has helped the public to have access to better services. foster elective packages have been introduced by the authority to add to the convenience of people. (Alber, 1995) trade union movement 3 impact o f social policies on users of health and social care services 3.1 contemporary policy developments and implementationThe healthcare authorities and the social care bodies make sure everyone is treated with equality regarding the services. The strategy and regulation is designed in such a way that ensures service receivers get the servicemaintaining their freedom and self-esteem. The state does its best to offer the widest range of services. They disseminate information to the public about the heath related issues and they also inform about the nourishing ingredients of a meal. Through the various programs, people are encouraged to maintain a sizeable lifestyle and children are imparted education. About the health related issues. There are many a(prenominal) joint accident sin the health and social care sector they provide employment along with the measures to improve the social care sector and take care of issues like health discriminations, infant health and adolescence health, health of senior citizens and so on. (Mason and Smith, 2005)3.2 Measuring the impact of policy initiatives on service usersThere are lots of evaluation methods that are being followed by the USA government to ensure the effectiveness and the efficiency of providing services to the service users. Evidence based policy making is one of the major force for the best quality policy appraisal in the U.K. This policy making systems require policy maker and implement authority of all of these policy to utilize and use the information from different source including evaluation of the past rules and policy, statistics data, academic overlay and researches, economics rules and theories, national statistics, consultation with expert or agents etc. even the public expenditure, expending and the tax also take part in this process. The UK Government has already undertaken, and also they are presently undertaking some random proscribed trials of policy steps.3.3 the impact of a specific policyAt 1999, The NSF or The National Service good example for the mental health published. It is it is the central element for the working age adults regarding the policy of government. Beside this, this is plan or program for ten years improvement of the metal health care in UK. This NSF also described how this policy, system and the improvement will happen and the evidence relating this also given in NSF (CSIP/NIMHE, 2007). Though NSF is focusing on the decreasing of the smoke rate among people but it is not acomprehensive or massive activity of improving health care like general health acre. Eight different pilot studies on the subject of improvement of the physical health care have been studied by the public health committee of the English strategy. (Beecham, 2005)3.4 policies in improving the quality of lifePolicies can play a virtual role in the improvement of the service users quality of the life. Participating interest group like patient organization is very effective in this rega rd. The focus was later concentrated in the cut down of taxes, the reduction of interference by the government and the reduction in the government expenditure in 1975. But it had to take some portion out of the welfare budget. Currently, the state is more focused on providing people with employment rather than providing them with abundant allowances and benefits. There have been many regulation and law which are introduced to address the issues of labor, healthcare and social care nowadays. (Gulliford and Morgan, 2003) Task 4 Recent developments in health and social care policy 4.1 recent development in health and social care policyIt deals with many different things like voluntary sectors in welfare, the role or the part of religion etc. Also it deals with free worldwide secondary education and many more. Indigence is one of the primary causes of sickness. The poor and broken law authority started to evaluate hospitals for the sick people. Health and social care policy deals with the rules and the policies, system regarding people welfare state. Most of the average report founded on three assumptions which is health services, family allowance and full employment. Beside all of these things current period achievement is the pensions, insurance, tax credits, gear to the family income etc. All of these this is the implement of current era of time. It also deals with the health and social care initiatives, social and labor inclusions, important legislation initiative, and rights etc. The announcement done by the Peter Lilley will help get the harmony to the benefit system. These mainly decrease the dependency of the benefit by helping the person or people in their work. (Judge, and Bauld, 2006)4.2 thedifferences in formation and adaptionAt this 29th century the social and the health care system policies initiative reached the rural and far areas of the United Kingdom. The main goal of this initiative of the health and social care is to provide the health and so cial care services to the society for the wellbeing of the society without considering the financial condition of the people. The main goal of this initiative is to provide state edification, pension and the universal health care to the citizen of the country. Similar to Japan the heath care of USA is being dominated and maintained and controlled by the different kind of insurance scheme=where state do not play any part. Social and health care is a contract between the individual citizen and the government in Scotland. But its straight forward in English policy where government ensures the commitment to give better health and social service rather than improving the policy itself. So it is more effective for the citizen of the country. This is a general contract between the service user or the citizen and the government service providers.ConclsuionThe main focus of the healthcare and social care has been the equality of access recently. All the acts and polices are aimed at proving people with the most fundamental services and making sure that no one gets deprived (Exworthy et al.,2003). The undertaking of the major policy matters has been done in collaboration and various bodies across the state and government have put a lot of effort to take the healthcare and social care to a new dimension.ReferenceAlber, J. Crisis in Movies Assignment Essay Example for Free

Crisis in Movies Assignment Essay1. pick out effect all the samet(s). (10 pts.)The scene I chose to watch is Courageous. The precipitating event in this movie is the car accident that takes the life of Emily Mitchell. Her father, spell Mitchell, and the rest of her family are traumatized by the sudden termination of their 9 year old fille/sister. In thinking about information that would be gained in the first contact with Adam Mitchell, bingle thing that stands out about his previous state of mind/functioning is that he was somewhat unconcerned with his children, taking them for granted. This fact can also be a trigger for how he processes this event, causing a crisis for him as he realized his young girlfriend is now gone. In another scene, Emilys brother, Dylan Mitchell, shares that he feels guilty that he wasnt a better brother. Both of these relational states prior to Emilys death can be a precipitating factor in how they process this trauma influencing whether t hey get stuck in crisis of guilt, depression over lost time, etc. or whether they see this as an opportunity for change in the way they handle relationships from now on.2. Identify the type of crisis (Situational, Developmental, Existential). (10 pts.) This crisis is a situational crisis, in that it is brought about by the sudden death of Emily. However, it can also produce turn outmental and existential crises in the lives of this family, as they process their loss. A traumatic event is known to potentially create problems in the future development of the individual or family, and it is certainly known to create existential crises, as the individuals core beliefs about self, others, and the world are extremely challenged during crisis. Beliefs about meaning, purpose, and the existence of immortal are often questioned after major tragedy. 3. Identify the material, personal, and social resources available to the individual. (10 pts.) The material resources available to this family were that they were a middle class family, with a stable home, and no financial worries that were evident to complicate their loss. The personal resources of the family were that they seemed to be a fairly strong, intact family prior to the crisis. They were clear a family of great faith in God, and this personal resource literally becomes what carries them through the crisis. As a result of their involvement in church and community, they had the social support of their friends/church members in the early age following the loss. Adam Mitchell also has the ongoing counsel of his pastor, who walks through the process with him, comforting him yet challenge him to grow and not get stuck. 4. What were the differing perceptions of the crisis? (the knob, family, community, friends, legal perspectives) (10 pts.) The perspectives within the family are the most obvious. Adam led his family to pass judgment the tragedy as Gods will for their lives and to trust Him with their pain and heal ing. He seemed to grieve for a age and then dive right in to trying to be a better dad. The nonplus is shown grieving, and then later supporting him as he sought to change his parenting in that respectfore, her perception seemed to be a fairly healthy one.The brother, Dylan, did not seem to do as well at first. He isolate for a while, but the reason came out one night at the dinner table when he cried, saying he should gravel been a better brother. The guilt had obviously been causing him to withdraw, but when he finally talked about his real feelings, he is seen making improvements. 5. Briefly, how was the crisis handled by the protagonist? (10 pts.) The protagonist in this movie was Adam Mitchell, the father of Emily who died in the car crash. Adam handled this crisis very well, as it became a catalyst for result for him. In one session, he is talking with his pastor after a few scenes that have shown him grieving, his married woman grieving, and his son beginning to isolate from the family. It is at this time that Adam has a choice in how he handles his opportunity to move forward or stay stuck. He tells his pastor that he does not desire to get stuck and bitter, that he wants to heal and he wants his family to heal.It is at this point in the movie that Adam begins to effuse himself into studying what Gods word has to say about being a father. After discovering that he was only doing a small portion of what God required of him as a dad, he makes a resolution to change that. Indeed, he does so and brings several other men along with him as well. By choosing to grieve in a healthy way, Adam allowed his crisis to make him a better father and to develop his relationship with his wife and son to a stronger place than it had been even out front his daughters death.6. propose several steps for your client that could be utilize to handle the crisis. (10 pts.) Since this crisis did not put Adam, or anyone else in his family, in direct danger, I would take on the role of a facilitator. As a facilitator, I would collaborate with Adam to set some goals for himself. An important thing to remember would be to help oneself him pull round and rebuild. This ultimate goal can be accomplished through smaller goals that center on bridging the past, accept and living with the present, and finding a new path for the future. Practical steps for Adam in bear upon his loss would be to suggest that he remain machine-accessible to his support system, gently guide him to formula his pain versus repress it, and have him identify secondary losses and unfinished business due to his daughters death. One poignant example of resolving unfinished business in the movie is when Adam goes and pretends to dance with his daughter in the place where he had rejected her invitation a few days before she died. While we cant always recover secondary losses, we can allow the secondary losses to t separately us about how to handle relationships differently in the f uture. This information can be used in finding a new path. Lastly, if my client was a Christian and I could talk openly about God, I would help to reframe their understanding based on a biblical perception of how God promises to use crises for the good of those who distinguish Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 828). Lastly, considering that this was a sudden and traumatic death, I would likely suggest a grief support group for the family.7. Suggest steps for pedagogy coping skills and developing resiliency (preventing the crisis from reoccurring). (10 pts.) Its hard to keep a death from reoccurring, but a client can be strengthened so that they do not move into active crisis each time they idolise a new loss. In the case of sudden death of a love one, a sense of fear over a new loss can almost cripple a client. I have had personal experience with this myself after losing my son in a drowning accident. Therefore, I would immediately want to help the client frame h ealthy perceptions about the event so that fear patterns do not get locked into the brain. Therefore, when it comes to re-traumatization after an initial trauma, early intervention is critical. Crisis debriefing can help to prevent trauma loops from being formed in the brain, which would contribute to possible crisis reoccurrence. As far as resiliency is concerned, I would suggest that the client remain connected to social support and remain connected to God. Trusting Him in crisis can help tremendously toward a healthy outcome.8. What referral sources would be available to the client if he/she lived in your area? (specific names of organizations in your area to which you might refer your client. You might have to research your area for this.) (10 pts.) Grief Share groups at several churches in the area (i.e. Hebron Baptist), Cornerstone advise (provides trauma recovery services), Paraclete Counseling Center, Robbie Sherrill, LCC9. Discuss a Biblical worldview or principal related to the crisis. (10 pts.) Anytime there is a tragedy or loss, one might be tempted to question the goodness of God, or even the reality of God. However, God is in control and never surprised by tragedy. A good article of faith to remember when God does allow suffering is to trust that God works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 828). Also, Scripture makes it clear that God uses suffering to refine us. Therefore, affect tragedy by asking what can I learn from this is healthier and more biblical than want to know why. God knows the end from the beginning, and even though we may not know why while on earth, we can know the peace that comes from trusting Him to bring good from our suffering.
